Lights...oh lovely lights.

I've collected myself a "starter" collection...Starting with the JetBeam PA40 ("big" light), Fenix E21 (stored in car), Fenix LD20 (multi-use), 4Sevens Preon 2 (by the way, is awesome for its pen-like size), and the Fenix E05 (keychain light).

There's plenty of reviews on youtube and forums, for beam patterns and other technicalities. That being said, CandlePowerForums is quite possible the best place to read up on flashlights (of course there are many others out there)...on a side note, people there are way more courteous and patient than any other forums I frequent.

I am blown away by how far LED technology has advanced. It's the kind of thing that I can appreciate, see and feel. Weird, I know.

Have 2 more in my sights for my own birthday gift (when I budget for November)...looking to get a ThruNite Neutron 1A cause of its floody beam, and the Olight i3 EOS for a new keychain light...oh lovely! But the more I read, my list changes.

I also ordered some Sanyo Eneloop batteries, one of the highly regarded rechargeables...and a diffuser kit for the Fenix LD20. My mini collection should be sufficient for now, as I cycle through them for night walks around the complex's area.

Definitely a good distraction for now...
